Track 1: Innovation and Entrepreneurship serves as a dynamic platform that showcases students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Centered on sustainability and climate action, this track encourages participants to harness their innovative ideas to tackle pressing environmental challenges. Inspiring students to develop cutting-edge solutions empowers them to transform their visionary concepts into actionable and sustainable ventures that will positively impact society.

The track features five essential themes, each addressing a critical global challenge. These themes are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and are crafted to inspire young innovators to think creatively about these global issues and make innovative solutions around them.

What are the Themes of Track 1?

All the themes within Track 1: Innovation and Entrepreneurship tackle environmental challenges, empowering participants to turn their visionary ideas into practical, sustainable solutions that contribute to the betterment of society. The themes are: 

 1. Clean Energy and Sustainable Cities: This theme emphasizes advancements in energy efficiency and urban sustainability, fostering greener cities and enhanced quality of life through innovation. It focuses on two key areas:

  • Affordable and Clean Energy: Developing cost-effective, accessible renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, and bioenergy.
  • Sustainable Urban Development: Creating eco-friendly, resilient cities with green buildings, smart grids, and sustainable transportation systems.

 

2. Life Below Water and Life on Land: This theme emphasizes the protection and restoration of marine and terrestrial ecosystems through innovative technologies and conservation strategies. Focus areas include:

  • Life Below Water: Projects targeting marine conservation, pollution control, and sustainable fisheries.

Participants are encouraged to unlock their full potential by crafting impactful awareness stories, dynamic animations, interactive games, and innovative projects. By harnessing their creativity and coding expertise, they can utilize PictoBlox and AI & Robotics Kits to bring their ideas to life. This is an opportunity to not only showcase their technical skills but also make a difference through creative storytelling and innovation.

How to Participate and Event Timeline for Codeavour 6.0 International

Here’s a step-by-step guide to participating in Track 1 of Codeavour 6.0 International:

  1. Register:
  • Go to the Codeavour 6.0 official website
  • Fill your team details and choose the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge.
  • Sign up with your email address and create a password, complete the Registration form and pay the registration fee.

 

     2. Learn: 

After successful registration, and updating your team details, the next stage is learning. If you are already an AI & ML champ, then it’s great, as you can directly start working on your project. But, if you are not familiar with the subjects or want to learn more then you can learn via the following ways:

  • Self-Learning
  • AI and Coding Live Sessions
  • Learn with a Training Partner

 

      3. Submit:

Upload your project and robot details by the regionals & national events, ensuring that all components are complete and adhere to the submission requirements for the Track 1. 

After the successful submission of your project and completion of the verification and screening process, the competition takes place at three levels globally:

  • Regionals: The team will be invited to participate in the regional level of the competition. Every participating team will receive regional-level certificates, with top performers advancing to the National Level.
  • Nationals: Top-performing teams from regional competitions will be invited to participate in the national-level competition. The number of teams advancing from regionals may vary by country, depending on participation levels. All teams at the national level will receive certificates, and the top performers will earn a spot at the International Level.
  • International: Top-performing teams from national-level competitions will advance to the international showdown. For countries where regional or national events are not conducted, submissions will be evaluated online, and exceptional teams will be directly invited to participate in the international competition. 

Teams selected from the national level to attend the international showdown will need to pay an additional fee of $80. This fee ensures that one receives the highest level of support and services during the global event.

  4. Win: Compete in the regional, national and international event and win prizes and mentorship worth $25,000

Here are some general rules and guidelines for participation in Track 1 of Codeavour 6.0 International:

  1. Participants can join individually or in teams of 2-3 members with a mentor.
  2. Any coding environment available in PictoBlox can be used, including Block-Based Coding, PictoBlox Jr, PictoBlox 3D & XR Studio, ML, and Python.
  3. For hardware-based projects, only PictoBlox-compatible hardware is allowed, such as Quarky, evive, Micro:bit, Arduino, ESP32, Boffin, T-Watch, TECbits, and LEGO.
  4. Projects based solely on PictoBlox software without hardware are also eligible to participate and compete.
  5. The mentor’s role is limited to providing guidance and support. Direct involvement in creating, demonstrating, or pitching the project can result in disqualification.
  6. Project submission via the Codeavour dashboard is required before the physical event.

Online Submission Requirements for Track 1

Participants must complete their online submission before participating in any regional, national, or international showcase. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from the event. Timely and complete submissions are required to secure a place in the competition. Some of the important criteria are:

  • Only one project submission is permitted per team.
  • The submitted project must be original and created solely by the participants.
  • Teams may update their projects before regional, national, or international competitions.

For a successful online submission, the following items are required:

  • Hardware Components Details: A brief description of each component used in the project.
  • Project Image: A high-quality image showcasing the project and, if possible, including the team (recommended size: 1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
  • Project Description: A 200-250 word summary highlighting the key aspects of the innovation.
  • PictoBlox File Link: Provide links to the PictoBlox project file(s). Multiple file links may be uploaded for projects with multiple boards, but only one link should be provided per board.
  • YouTube Video Link: A link to a YouTube video showcasing the project.
  • Project Presentation: Every team has to make their presentation to showcase their project during the judgment. The presentation has to be made on the provided PPT TEMPLATE for TRACK 1.

Requirements During Physical Events for Track 1:

For successful participation in physical events (Regional, National, International), the participants must come up with the following things:

  • Prototype or model of their innovation
  • Banner or poster covering key innovation features (2×3 feet with the National Flag in the design)
  • Necessary equipment (laptop, tablet, etc.)
  • Chargers and spare batteries
  • Extension cords, International Travel Adapter, and power strips
  • Tape, scissors, Glue dots and other setup tools
