IEEE SUDAN was established in 2011 by the current chair PROF.Sharif F.Babikir and other 12 professional members Since its founding it was able to maintain a community of researchers , engineers and enterpeneurs . Since then , IEEE Sudan expanded into eight student branches : University of Khartoum, Sudan University of Science and Technology, Alnelein University, Alzaeim Alazhari University, Almashreq University, Algezira University, University of Medical Science and Technology and Jordanian Sudanese College.

Established in 2018, the company draws inspiration from the legendary Arab scientist Al-Jazari, a pioneer in robotics and mechanics. Al-Jazari Robotics aims to equip youth with cutting-edge technology skills, applying the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) to enhance educational outcomes. The organization provides innovative educational robots, integrated learning curricula, and training in programming, AI, and robotics. It also hosts national and international competitions to inspire creativity and technical expertise.
