Carbon Counter is a user friendly program designed to help individual households to reduce and offset their carbon footprint. By combining intuitive features and a simple design, Carbon Counter helps the user to make environmentally conscious choices to contribute to global sustainability efforts.
The app allows users to calculate their household’s carbon emissions based on daily activities such as energy consumption, transportation habits, and waste production. With a clean and modern interface, it provides personalized tips to reduce emissions, such as optimizing energy use, adopting eco-friendly practices, and exploring renewable energy options.
Rise Together: Youth Making Changes
This project is a platformer-style game featuring obstacles, a storyline, and Artificial Intelligence.
There is a minor issue when uploading the project to Pictoblox—one or two sprites disappear from the project without any action other than uploading the file or link. Since I did not remove them myself, their disappearance is beyond my control. Additionally, the game runs very laggy on Pictoblox. I have reached out to my senior for assistance in resolving this issue, but unfortunately, they were unable to find a solution.
Storyline:
At the start of the game, the main character is shocked by the overwhelming amount of waste in their surroundings. The trash emits a foul odor and pollutes the environment, making it difficult to live in. Witnessing this problem, the character decides to take action by mobilizing the community through a youth organization to address waste management.
The character receives a quest from a young boy to collect five pieces of debris or garbage. However, the journey is not as sime as merely picking up trash. Along the way, the character must complete side missions, such as raising awareness among the community about the importance of maintaining a clean environment. Additionally, they must navigate dangerous obstacles that pose a threat.
After successfully gathering all the debris, the player meets the boy at the waste processing center. There, the character must recycle the waste, transforming it into useful products that benefit the entire community.
The Lumberjack Experience
You are a very poor lumberjack, but fate grants you a rare opportunity when you stumble upon the legendary Moosewood Forest, where an ancient creature gifts you the Mythical Axe, a powerful tool that can either bless you with an abundance of wood or curse you by taking it away, and as you explore the forest, you find common trees like oak and birch, which must be chopped to gather wood that can be sold for $5 per piece, though you can upgrade your money multiplier to increase its value, yet amidst the ordinary trees, you may also encounter rare trees, which should never be cut, for doing so will anger the forest and cause your wood to decrease, and to succeed, you must upgrade your Mythical Axe, enhancing its Speed to chop trees faster, Axe Size to make it larger and more powerful, and Money Multiplier to increase your profits, ensuring you become the wealthiest lumberjack in Moosewood, but the deeper you go into the forest, the greater the risks and rewards, so you must choose wisely whether to wield your axe with caution or greed, for your actions will determine if you prosper or if the forest takes everything away.

Recycling Monitor Specialist
We identified a problem of recycling waste among our peers. They may dispose the general trash, recycling waste to the wrong bins, without rinsing before disposal, creating unhygienic environment. As recycling bins are covered and sectors can only collect recycling waste once per week, frequently check by janitors are needed. We are developing an AI model aimed at effectively addressing and monitoring recycling bins throughout the schools. Our project addresses hygiene issues in recycling bins by adding cameras, ultrasonic sensors, UV disinfectants, and disinfectant sprays. The camera classifies recyclables and opens the corresponding bin lid; while unrinsed waste prevents lid opening, avoiding cross-contamination. After disposal, UV disinfectants and sprays activate automatically, killing bacteria and enhancing hygiene. Ultrasonic sensors measure waste levels, notifying janitors at 80% capacity to prevent overflow. Gas sensors detect excessive odor, alerting janitors to maintain a clean environment. These features collectively improve recycling bin hygiene and efficiency.
